I’m Kameron, an indie filmmaker passionate about telling authentic stories that resonate with real people. Over the years, I've had the pleasure and privilege of working with some big and underrated names in cinema.

All this without going to film school. So, if I can do it, so can you. When self-learning for the majority of COVID, I found that information in the world of film/cinema was often very gatekept. Understandably so. Who wants to give their secret sauce away? But this is not what I was looking for. I was looking for the fundamentals of film—where to start, what to do, what tools, articles, or YouTube videos could I use to get my foot in the door of cinema. I found bits and pieces along the way, scavenging books and reading camera manuals. But I never found a singular place of just... pure insight.

This is that place. For the sake of my younger self, what I needed then was this newsletter. That’s my angle.

I believe filmmaking should be accessible to everyone. You don’t need a fancy degree or expensive equipment to make an impact—just a bit of grit, determination, and the right resources. My goal is to empower filmmakers from all walks of life with straightforward, actionable tools, plus a few hard-earned lessons to save you from the same mistakes I made.

I’m not here to preach or act like I’ve got all the answers. I'm just another filmmaker who’s learning and growing right alongside you. I want to give you the insights, strategies, and support you need to carve your own path in this industry—on your own terms.
